On Friday, Mrudvi and I went to Jackson to interview Mr. Ron Forsythe and Mr. Johnny Green. Both men gave great interviews on what their parts were in the research of the site. Both men agreed that the site has no signs of hazard and their research came to a conclusion in the mid eighties. Forsythe was there to help monitor people on the site for radiation poisoning and Green was the geologist who helped test the water. Forsythe spoke a lot about isotopes and one in particular, Tridum (sp?) and how it was found on the site but in the end was not harmful. Both men said they never heard any complaints of radiological poisoning or any cancer scares, which I found very interesting.
I am also in a game of phone tag with Mr. George Stevens from the Lamar County Historical Society, I am currently at work and am unable to call him until I get off but I will be in contact with him before class on Tuesday.
