The shoot in Tupelo went great! I'm not sure we could find anyone else with such an opposition to casinos. He used some really strong words of hate and disapproval.
I have been trying to get a hold of casinos and have been given quite the run around because nobody is returning calls or messages and I am still being sent around to contact someone else.
What I have so far: Michael Thompson - according to his secretary is thinking about it. Tropicana eventually got back to me but they say that they are too busy because they are working on launching a new expansion, I was given the contact info for the general manager to see if I can still interview them on that (fingers crossed). HardRock has agreed but I would still need to get permission so my request is being passed up the chain and would take a week for a response. MGM gave me permission to and I was referred to the person in charge of legal and community affairs who was out of the office last week, I heard from his secretary today who says that he will be too busy these next few weeks so I would have to interview the regional pr person, I need to get a hold of her! Bally's Tunica after some considerable yelling agreed to pass my request up to the powers that be. I am working on stalking her on to find her email address to follow up with her. She said I would hear from her in a week or so. The Fitzgerald at Tunica finally got back to me but referred me to another higher power to email my request to. I'm hoping and praying so hard!
I have called out to the three other casinos in Tunica and Professor Schultz, helped out with an email so I'm hoping that process moves along quicker.
With the help of Professor Schultz, I have set up an interview with Webster Franklin CEO of the Covention and Visitors Bureau of Tunica for this Friday.
