Lots of things to follow up on from class Tuesday:
1) I have contacted both the mayor's office and Chamber of Commerce in Philadelphia. Mayor James Young was very willing to grant an interview; you can contact him directly to set up the interview on his cell phone. I'm still waiting to hear back from the Chamber of Commerce.
2) Thanks to Ashley for finding a couple of DVD's that we might find useful. I'll bring them to class Thursday so we can discuss what (if any) parts we want to use. I have converted them to .mov files that we can use in the project.
3) Speaking of Thursday, come to class prepared to show your (edited) material so we can continue discussions about what we want to use. We got off to a bit of a slow start Tuesday, so your help in getting this process streamlined will be appreciated.
4) Dr. Wickham's class has begun to think about a website. We need to come up with some ideas for names. Please be prepared by bringing some suggestions to class Thursday ... we should try to get this decided that day.
5) Some of you have inquired about the Final/Quiz on December 2. It will include: 1) lecture material 2) Power Point material 3) material from videos we watched in class (general type questions; nothing too specific) 4) other material/discussions that we have had related to the project. It will be a short (less than 15 questions) exam.
6) I found this video on Fox News about Massachusetts having 2nd thoughts about approving casino gambling. I would like to discuss this for a few minutes in class to see if we want to use any of this material in the project, so please watch before class Thursday.
